James Stoddart, a 62 year-old sunbed salon owner in Mitcham, Surrey with his 1985 Austin Mini which he uses as a run around and does not meet ULEZ emission standards. Mr Stoddart has invested over £20,000 into renovating the vehicle and as he resides in Epsom, Surrey he does not get a vote in the London Mayoral elections. "I'm absolutely fuming, it's a joke what the Mayor is doing with this expansion and what he has the power to do in far out places such as Epsom. My friends and I can't do the London to Brighton Mini run anymore as that's been cancelled, everything I enjoy in life is getting put to a stop. I'm going to have to restrict how often I take this car out now, which I know will kill off modern classic cars not just for me but for thousands of car enthusiasts"

Nicholas Stone, a 24 year-old student at Arts University Bournemouth with his families 1998 Mazda Demio at their home in Epsom, Surrey which they are having to sell due to the upcoming ULEZ expansion. Mr Stone, who notes that the car is older than he is, said his parents bought the car from new and have put over 90,000 miles on the clock. "Our family would have driven this car into the ground if it wasn't for the Mayor's new ULEZ expansion scheme, but we're having to part with it as a lot of our daily amenities are inside the new boundary. It really is a shame we're having to sell it, the car is older than me after my family bought it for over £10,000 and now we're selling it for less than £500".

Richard Moore, a 53 year-old Motorway Communication Engineer from Hainault, Greater London with his Limited Edition 1996 Vauxhall Calibra Turbo 4x4, which is non ULEZ compliant. Mr Moore will not be driving his vehicle, of which only 51 were ever made of his edition when the new boundary is introduced and will be stored on his drive. "The upcoming ULEZ expansion is the final nail in the coffin and I am looking to relocate my family and I to outside the new boundary. London is becoming too difficult for car owners and I feel like I am being penalised for doing something I enjoy. This car is a big part of my life, this scheme is going to destroy the classic car scene."

Paul Robins, a 60 year-old part time plumber in Biggin Hill, Kent with his (left) Mid 2000 B10 3.3 litre which is ULEZ compliant and (right) Mid 2000 BMW 530i Touring which is currently non ULEZ compliant. Mr Robins uses the BMW 530i as his work vehicle after his work van was stolen earlier this year and is currently in a dispute with TfL about his work vehicle being ULEZ compliant, even though the certificate of conformity states it meets the emissions standard. "If TfL don't respond back before the 29th August and deem the car ULEZ compliant I'll have to consider signing on for unemployment benefits and give up the work I do. I think cars like this will slowly disappear off the roads in the outer boroughs, either being sold or scrapped. It could be the death of the modern classic car."

Paul Tucker, a 52 year-old vehicle bodyfitter from Northolt, West London with his 1998 Peugeot 106 Rally which is non ULEZ compliant. Mr Tucker uses the car to commute to work in High Wycombe and has owned it for over 15 years. "I feel targeted, it's just another money making scheme and if the Mayor was serious he'd issue a complete ban. I need a car to get to work and I can't afford one outright so I'm going to have to take out a loan to buy one. I'm going to be in debt because of ULEZ. A lot of people are going to suffer because of this scheme."

Trevor Manlow, a 53 year-old motorcycle dealer in Hillingdon, West London with his 2000 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide which does not comply with ULEZ emission standards when the boundary expands. Mr Manlow is locked into a 5 year finance deal on the bike with over 3 and a half years left on the deal. "It makes me angry, kids see these cars and bikes on the street and at shows and smile, they love it. However, the ULEZ expansion is going to kill this as fewer people will be taking them out. I'll still ride my bike, I'll just refuse to pay the charge and I'll take it to a garage to make it ULEZ compliant at the first opportunity. These classic vehicles are either going to becoming museum artefacts or tin cans."

Laurence McGeough, a 52 year-old vehicle technician in Greenford, West London with his 1991 Ford Fiesta RS Turbo 1991, which is non ULEZ compliant. Mr McGeough has owned the car for 12 years and is a member of a number of classic car groups. "At the moment I drive this car every weekend to classic shows to meet with similar owners. Past the 29th August I'm going to have to heavily clamp down and consider when I take it out, which will probably be once every few months with the cost of everything adding up. I'm angry, I like my car to be seen and I'm being stopped from doing what I love."

Karl Amos, a 53 year-old plumbers merchant in Hillingdon, West London with his 1985 Classic Mini which does not meet the ULEZ emissions standard when the boundary expands. Mr Amos has invested over £12,000 into his Mini which he keeps at his garage in Uxbridge. "When I first built this car from the ground up I said I'd be buried in it and I'd never thought I'd ever have to consider parting with it, it's left me heartbroken. This car is my pride and joy, I've put blood, sweat and tears into it but unfortunately I'm considering selling it as I'll hardly take it out now due to the cost implication. I'm angry at the cynicism of it all, I just don't think the punishment fits the crime"

Jay McDonald, a 45 year-old haulier living in Hayes, West London with his 1986 Mark 3 Ford Capri which he has spent nearly £25,000 in the last 2 years renovating and does not meet ULEZ emission standards. Mr McDonald keeps his two non-compliant vehicles at his workplace in Uxbridge, outside of the upcoming ULEZ expansion. "It's a tax on the people, it won't achieve anything more than putting money in the pockets of TfL. These modern classics are the same as those from my childhood that my parents and my relatives drove and it's nostalgic and we'll see cars like this on the roads less and less. I am angry, the ULEZ expansion is robbing me of my freedom as driving my cars is something I love."

Peter McGeough, a retired 80 year-old who previously worked as an aircraft engineer with his 1999 Volvo V70 in Greenford, West London. Mr McGeough has owned the car for 20 years and is having to scrap his only vehicle as it is non compliant with the new ULEZ expansion. "I've had to cancel the insurance on this car and get rid of it as I just can't afford to purchase a ULEZ compliant car. The support scheme just isn't enough and as this is my only vehicle I'm going to have to depend on my family to help with my day to day jobs like my food shopping, going to the doctors as I just have no other way of getting there. I am so wound up at the whole situation"
